Dazzling Red Riding Hood

Ridinghood.dazzling.blooms.11I never thought I would be mixing red and pink together, but that is exactly what I have done. Two of the new “In Colours” are Riding Hood Red and Pink Pirouette. But if you think of all the flowers in the garden that these two colours are often seen together, roses being the flower that comes to mind first.

I haven’t used rose stamps here, but I have used two images from the Eastern Blooms set. It is another set from one of the mini catalogues from last year that made it into the current Catalogue. Another thing that I don’t normally do when creating cards is line up everything equally, or centre things.

As you can see, I have used a technique called “masking” to change the depth of the images on the card so that one image is in the foreground.

I have also given the card some extra bling by adding some dazzling diamonds to the centre of the main flower.
