12×12 Challenge

ESADchallengeNathanEaster

I completed my first challenge with the ESAD yahoo group last week. As you can see it was a 12×12 scrapbook page. The challenge is presented as a sketch layout and we can complete it any way we like.

A lot of my photos for the past couple of years are all digital. So I had to go digging well into old boxes to find ones that would do for this challenge.

I’ve used Chocolate Chip textured 12×12 cardstock, Red Riding hood cardstock, Old Olive cardstock, retired Bali BreezeDSP, and Bella Rose DSP. Stamps from Occasional Greetings and Lovely as a tree. Lastly a Star designer brad.

One of the Birthday traditions we have for the kids is I make them a special Birthday Cake. This year Nathan (who turns 11) wanted a castle. Thank goodness for the Women’s Weekly cake books. Some years I have been able to make them exactly as the book states, other years I completely design my own, and once again this year I have taken one idea added a few extra from elsewhere and come up with something that is “CASED” but still Original.

Hello world!

simply said blue friendHello world. Well I have finally managed to emerge into the 21st century and now I can talk to the world via my own blog.

I joined the Stampin’ Up! family less than a year ago and haven’t looked back. I love all of their products, the variety and the co-ordination is just superb.

The all new 2009-2010 Ideas Book and Catalogue has just been released on 1ST April. It is jam packed with new stamp sets, new “in colour” card-stock, ink and accessories, a whole range of new accents and over 300 new ideas. Plus there are many more items that will get you all excited. If you would like to own your own copy to drool (sorry I mean read) over and over again, then please contact me.

Some of you may have met me recently at the Stitches and Craft show in Melbourne last month. It was wonderful to meet other talented demonstrators in Melbourne. And I have found some great new friends.

This is my first post, so I have included a card I made for a previous workshop. It included-

Stamps: Simply Said

Paper: Whisper White, Ballet Blue, Brilliant Blue.

Ink: Ballet Blue, Brilliant Blue.

Technique: Two-step stamping, tearing edges, Punch and Dimensionals.
