May is also when we celebrate Mothers Day.
We all like to do something nice to make our mothers feel special. To make them feel as if they are the best person in the world, the only person who could love us unconditionally.
I believe that if I make something myself, it becomes that thing that is extra special. Maybe it is the love with which it is made.
I am not a big fan of Chrysanthemums, but a lot of mums do. The Hostess set Autumn Flair has an image which on closer inspection could be used as a chrysanthemum. So I have used that image to create a card for Mothers Day.
I have used only markers on this card. Markers to colour in, and markers to shade different parts of the image before stamping. All different shades of pink (Rose Red, Regal Rose, and Pretty in Pink). The centre flower is cut out and a dimensional is used to make it “pop” off the page. The ultra soft images on the bottom of the card are by using Versamark. It leaves a “watermark” effect which can be subtle on the lighter coloured card stock. I have used the scallop edge punch as well.
