In my last post I mentioned that it was my daughters birthday. Most of my family live interstate, so when my sister (Louise) phoned me the night before and said that she had forgotten to send a birthday card, Louise asked me to make her one. But it wasn’t to be pink! First she asked for purple. I explained that I didn’t have any card stock, so she asked for it to be yellow. “OK” I said.

Digging through my box of leftover bits and pieces, I came across a bunch of non SU stickers. They were purple and yellow and green. So with a little bit of combination from the So Swirly wheel and Wonderful Favourites words, this is what I put together.

Then it came time to design a card from my son to his sister. There was another bunch of non SU stickers in that box of goodies, so they became the accessories to this card. I have used the dragonfly image from Bugs and Kisses and layered it onto Bella Rose DSP.

Another set I have been wanting to get for a while is Lovely as a Tree.

My talented SIL Rebecca(also a demonstrator-in a different state) sent me a birthday card. (See above.) I liked it so much, I tried to CASE it. But yet again, my design plans didn’t work out. I used the same colours and DSP, but I didn’t have the same stamp set. So I pulled out Lovely as a Tree. I stamped it in Chocolate chip, but I didn’t like the way it looked. (It looked like bare trees in the middle of winter.) I added some Kiwi Kiss colour, changed the greeting and added some coloured brads instead. I think it turned out OK. What do you think?
