Flowerpot

I know I am a bit late with this one, but I still wanted to share it. There is a new set called Wagon Full of Fun. It is in the Summer Mini Catalogue that finishes in a couple of days on 31st March. I was a bit slow in ordering it, as I only received it a couple of weeks ago myself, but I like the variety of stamps that it comes with. It is a great all-rounder set.

The first image I wanted to play with was the Flowerpot. I also decided to attempt to watercolour it as well. It is not a perfect job, but watercolouring takes time to learn. Learning how to add dimension just by altering the depth of colour, is a skill within itself. (But that’s just my opinion).

I also took the same image and changed the colours. Now I must admit, I don’t really like yellow. I will pick any other colour first before I pick yellow. I also have a hard time teaming it up with other colours as well.

But I think I did an OK job here. What do you think?

Simply Friends

This is my creation for this weeks Clean and Simple  Sketchtastically 83 challenge. It has given me an opportunity to ink up my new set “Vintage Vogue”. This is a new set, due to be released on April 1st with the introduction of the Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue.

One of the other inclusions in the Mini Catalogue will be 3 new “In-Colours”.

I have used one of them here, it is called Rich Razzleberry, teaming it up with Pale Plum and Whisper White. I have also used the background stamp “En Francais”. The vintage look really lends itself to the rock and roll technique used on the flowers.

I carried thru the idea with this card, by changing the Base card and adding extra bling. Rhinestone Brads given a great focal point on the flowers, as well as the dimensionals giving the flowers added depth.

Clean and Simple Life

Well, I have discovered a new site called Clean and Simple. So today is my first ever online challenge participation. This is such an easy layout, I just had to have a go. I really like the end result.

Today is very much a day of first’s. It is the first time I have used this Hostess set “Live like you mean it”. It is only a level 1 Hostess set, so it is very easy to achieve with a workshop, or as some of my regular customers have found out this month, just with a qualifying order.

It is the first time I have used my new Bold Brights Markers. I have used 4 different colours, including Gable Green, Green Galore, Pixie Pink and Pink Passion. The Bold Brights colour range is the least used by me. My 10year old daughter just loves all the bright colours, but I just always go for something else.

And it is the first time I have used my new Eyelet Border punch. It is such a lovely alternative to the scallop edges.
